Service Outage
Currently our phone system is down due to a widespread AT&T outage. Hopefully everything will be resolved in the next few hours. Don’t worry we’re still here!
Phone System Online
We’ve got our new phone system in place so those having trouble reaching us should no longer have any issues. We thank you for your patience and understanding through that whole headache. There are some pretty nasty viruses roaming around the internet lately so be careful which e-mails you open, even though they come from your friends – always know what you’re opening attachment wise before you do! This is the quickest way that the viruses known as worms spread. Be careful what you click on!
Phone Issues
As we are well aware, for the past week and a half or so we have been having some issues with our phone system that we are currently resolving. If you try to contact us and only get 2 rings before the line goes dead, try using a different phone as that has been reported to work. Should have everything stable by Friday!
Also, be weary of a virus going around that claims to be part of your “Windows Firewall” as this is completely false. Do not enter your credit card numbers into anything that randomly pops up – ever!
A few things
Hopefully everyone is outside enjoying the nice weather for the time being, hopefully it will last. We here at PC Perfect are continuing to grow at a rapid rate and appreciate all the support we’ve gotten and the positive response from the Lansing area.
We would also like to announce that we are also expanding into the small to medium business enterprise level support. Why spend more to constantly have an in-house IT department when you can get the same response time and better support for less cost through us. We also design custom point of sales systems for all businesses both existing and new. Tired of having to use a generic and expensive alternative? Nasty Virus
According to recent news stories, there is a virus going around that will lie in wait on your computer, hidden, until you access your banking websites. It will then steal your log-in information and every time you return to your banking website, it will scrub your transaction history of anything that it has done. The best way to combat this is to stay with websites you regularly visit, don’t divulge any personal information, and keep your anti-virus definitions up to date. If you suspect that you may have been the victim of such an attack, contact your financial institution immediately and bring your computer in for repair to prevent recurrence. Hope everyone had a good holiday and the only money they lost was spent on family.
New Hours!
PC Perfect would like to announce that we are changing our hours from 12 – 9 to the new schedule of 10 – 6. We will still be open 6 days a week, just closing and opening a little earlier to tailor to the suggestions of some customers. We appreciate your business and hope that when you do get a virus or your machine crashes, you come see us. (However, we just hope that doesn’t happen to you at all!) Fall is here!
Fall is here and the leaves are changing already. There is a pretty nasty virus going around that goes by “Guard Online” and “Open Cloud AV”. This one is seriously tough to get rid of so I would definitely recommend getting it into a professional as soon as possible.
On another note, we will be closed Saturday October 15th both for a wedding and the Michigan vs Michigan State game. We will continue business as normal on Monday.

Virus Alert
There is a pretty nasty virus going around that pretends to do a security scan on your computer. It will say that you have a “CHILD-PORN-PROXY” and the blaster worm. This is completely false. If you do happen to get infected, seek out a professional immediately. To protect yourself, change your browser. The common thread that I have seen among infected users is that they all user internet explorer. I personally recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for browsing the web. Stay up to date and stay protected Lansing!
